Never in multiple universes and centuries would I ever think that I would be praising Rush Limbaugh, but holy shit… I am. Through all of the horrible reporting that had been going on after the horrible Boston Bombing, no one had apologized. CNN stood there and just moved on, not saying anything, not even a whoops or a dammit to show a screw up. The AP, who is essentially the media filter outlet that most news flows through, didn’t apologize nor recognize that they screwed up royal. FOX relied on CNN and their sources thus looking like asshats as well, but Rush Limbaugh… actually apologized for not checking and double checking sources… Oh. My. God.
So if you missed this video you missed political comedian (he is less funny than Dane Cook) Steven Crowder getting decked by a Union member during a protest of the Michigan right-to-work bill being passed. Crowder then went directly back to his mommy (FOX) to complain about getting socked in the face.
“I literally believe, Sean [Hannity], that if I had defended myself at all, even flicked a small little jab, that they would have killed me…”
I literally agree with him, but is it the union man’s fault that you got in the way and pissed them off in order to save people in a tent who were being just as vulgar and vicious? No.
Well it looks like unskewedpolls.com is going to have to eat crow. Adam Silver, the evil gay pollster who had Obama having a 96% chance of winning got it right again… for the third election series in a row (2008 and 2010). Everyone had banked on being so 50-50 with everything it was sick. I’ll even admit that my election map (which was 288-250 Obama) was relatively tame. Obama in nearly every poll and all major networks (including the now suicidal FOX News) has won and at this point in time is ahead be either 303-203 or 332-203, so either way an absolute landslide.
Joe Biden and Paul Ryan had their debate last night and it showed 2 major things to come of this. Paul Ryan is an absolute rookie and a rough half-ass debater at best. He was caught on several occasions dodging the questions asked by Martha Raddatz and also flipped his views on things several times over. Ryan looked like someone who stuck to his script, never deviating to answer questions that were asked. It showed that the partisan politics currently used by the Rovian GOP is difficult to push still. It is a vague and unsatisfying political move, one that kept George W. Bush within power in 2004.
On the other hand, Joe Biden startled even me. Biden came out fiery and factually. He gave numbers, he interrupted Paul Ryan (to the dismay of the right wing pundits who just last week LOVED Romney doing the exact same thing), and he questioned his facts/policies often. Biden dominated the debate and I find it funny that the pundits are now trying to find any scraps to hold upon to preserve that Ryan “won” by saying it was a tie. There was no tie, it was a full on verbal ass-whooping laid out by Biden on a raw piece of GOP meat, like it or not, Paul Ryan really sucked last night.
